This dual-sided accordion book focuses on both the scientific and communal aspects of a river, and how these two qualities intertwine. The text is digitally printed on Rives Heavyweight Paper. Each page was hand-dipped in Leona creek, which flows through the campus of Mills College. The sediment was then left to dry on the paper. When the dried mud was wiped off, its markings were left behind.
The listed compounds were found in the waters of the Russian River in Sonoma County, the location which created the inspiration for this book.
The closed book measures 6 5/8″ x 7 1/8″ x 1/2″. It has a signed, hand-bound edition of 4. $195.
