The content for this book was inspired by the fictional city of “Valdrada” from Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. “Valdrada” is a city built upon a lake, which mirrors every action that exists within the city. Mirror broadens this idea of reflection as it relates to social media and image sharing. The text is a combination of Invisible Cities quotes and responses from contributors to questions I posted online.

This work was created using digital printing process. The structure is a combination of French Door and Leporello bindings. The paper is Rives Heavyweight, and the typeface is Arial.

Mirror was created at Mills College in 2015.
